Matt Lyon, CCE

Matt Lyon is a versatile film and television editor with over twenty years of experience. A DGC Award winner and two-time CCE Award nominee, Matt’s work has premiered at major film festivals around the world and played on platforms including Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, Hulu, BBC, and Disney+.

His recent film projects include Youngblood, a re-imagining of the classic hockey film; Code 8: Part II, which debuted as the number one worldwide feature film on Netflix, and the Joel Kinnaman led action-thriller The Silent Hour, directed by Brad Anderson. Matt’s recent television credits include Home Sweet Rome (HBO Max), Workin’ Moms (Netflix/CBC) and Corner Gas Animated (CTV).

Matt is currently working on Eli Roth’s latest horror creation, Ice Cream Man.

When he’s not killing unsuspecting folks onscreen, Matt serves as the chair of the mentorship committee for the Canadian Cinema Editors.
